Community Services (CHC20108)
Certificate II in Support Work is the introductory qualification for workers wanting to enter the Community Services Industry. The course will provide students with an introduction to the carer’s role – both practical and theory and offers a holistic approach to caring for the aged and disabled.
Career Opportunities
Workers in this occupational group work in residential facilities and/or the community under direct or regular supervision and have the opportunity to gain work in the fields of Aged Care, Disability and Home and Community Care.
These workers provide ancillary services such as catering, cleaning, laundry, gardening, and home maintenance. These workers report directly to a supervisor.

Course Duration and Attendance
The course can only be undertaken on a full-time basis. Studying on a full-time basis requires attendance Monday to Friday from 9:30am till 4:30pm each day for 5 weeks (Not including work placement). All courses are conducted on a regular basis.

Government funding may be available for eligable persons to cover cost of study.

Skills Recognition
Before the commencement of a course we offer the opportunity for students to be assessed for RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning), RCC (Recognition of Current Competencies), and CT (Credit Transfer). This could lower the cost of training and speed up the completion of the course.
Written evidence and assessment is required and will be reviewed by our training staff.
